Bailey Seymour, LPC

Picture of Bailey Seymour a competent and kind online therapist who meets with parents for parent coaching, teens, and for concerns such as anxiety and depression. She is an LGBTQ affirming therapist.

My interest in mental health did not begin in the classroom, I found it through dancing.

Dance had been a part of my life from an after-school activity into a college major and then into a job. Over time, I realized that dance was my way of connecting to myself, my emotions, and my body. Whether I knew it or not, I was learning how to listen to my body and cope with difficult emotions. I became interested in how I can help others connect to their emotions, their bodies, and to know themselves.

Life can be unpredictable and sometimes we just need a little extra support. If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or you can’t quite figure out what it is you are feeling, we can work together to create a space to address this together. While I am the one with the mental health training, you are the expert on you. Through pairing our expertise, we can find a way to move you forward together.

My Clinical Approach

I approach my clinical work with a multicultural and person-centered lens. My approach is eclectic and centers around your specific needs. Other therapeutic approaches that I draw from in my work with clients are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With these theories I will help you acquire tools for dealing with the stressors of daily life, while exploring your identity and values. My therapeutic approach is nonjudgmental and accepting of your whole self.
